Robert C. Siudmak, MD, FACOG is board certified practicing Obstetrics and Gynecology for more than 38 years.
Currently serving as Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Memorial Same Day Surgery Centers, Dr. Siudmak is also a Diplomate of the American Board of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, and Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. He served as Chief of the Department of OB/GYN for both Memorial Regional Hospital in Hollywood for six years and Hollywood Medical Center (now Memorial Hospital South) for two years. He is a member of the AMA, FMA, BCMA, and AAPLOG.
As a child of a prominent general surgeon and a distinguished registered nurse, Dr. Siudmak followed his parents’ footsteps into the medical field when he graduated with a Bachelors of Science degree in Biology from Fordham University, then went on to attend New York Medical College, receiving his MD degree in 1977. Following medical school, Dr. Siudmak remained close to his East Coast roots when he completed his residency at New York Medical College and later opened a private practice in Manhattan.
It wasn’t long until the South Florida lifestyle lured Dr. Siudmak away from his New York City, Park Avenue practice. He worked for Cigna Health plan for three years. In 1985, he returned to private practice bringing his experience, work ethic, and caring personality to create a compassionate, friendly environment patients have grown to love for over 3 decades. Dr. Siudmak has delivered over 14,500 babies with the philosophy of being an up to date evidence based caring coach to the natural process of childbirth keeping his primary C-section rate under 18 percent while performing over 1,200 VBACs. As a testament to his quality of care, Dr. Siudmak has delivered a second generation of over 40 babies from parents he has delivered. Additionally, Dr. Siudmak provides high quality comprehensive women's health care with a philosophy of conservative intervention and organ preservation. When necessary, he has successfully performed over 3,000 Hysteroscopies, 1,500 Laparoscopies, 300 LEEP procedures, 200 Thermachoice endometrial ablations, 100 Essure procedures for tubal ligation, and other routine procedures including Hysterectomies, Myomectomies, D&C procedures, and Colposcopies. In keeping with his strong belief of putting patients' medical needs first, Dr. Siudmak works closely with Perinatologists, Gynecologic oncologists, Urogynecologists, and Fertility specialists to provide the highest level of care and meet the specific needs of every one of his patients.
